Romanian documents in Belgium: passport, certificates and translations
For many procedures in Belgium you need Romanian documents: a birth certificate, a marriage certificate, a passport. We help you obtain them and use them correctly.
A Romanian passport or identity document is requested at the consular section of the Romanian embassy in Brussels. You usually need to book an appointment online in advance.
Good news for certificates: within the EU, no apostille is needed any more for birth, marriage and other civil status certificates. Ask for a multilingual standard form with the certificate; a translation is then often not needed. If the municipality still asks for a translation, it usually has to be done by a sworn translator.
